International Certified Accountant (Berlin)

As a member of a strong finance team of 4 extremely driven professionals you will be in charge of all accounting related matters for the German company and the German projects. You will report to the German Finance Director and as a member of the team to the Dutch headquarter in Amsterdam. This role will give you an overview on the investment structures and mechanisms of an international real estate development company. As the International Certified Accountant you will have great impact in helping the finance team to get things done and act as highly valued support function for our German as well as our international team.

Responsibilities you have

  • Creating monthly and quarterly reports for management incl. reporting to headquarter
  • Providing input for consolidated cashflow prognoses
  • Accounting (HGB) for all German subsidiaries incl. all subsidiary ledgers
  • Coordinating and verifying Luxembourgian accounting with the company’s accounting
  • Communicating with Dutch and Luxembourgian directors in terms of business management
  • Reviewing booking and payment process
  • Supporting the creation of consolidated annual report and clarifying all accounting issues in collaboration with external tax advisors in Germany
  • Guiding and developing a finance student worker
  • Main contact person for all accounting issues as well as administrative tasks in terms of our development projects

Skills you have

  • Several years of experience in a controlling function, Big 4 Public Accounting firm and/or Real Estate experience is preferred (additional international experience is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standard preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team
  • Proactive attitude, commitment to continuous learning, willingness to challenge the status quo to improve processes
  • Flexibility, strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with Navision of advantage
  • Fluent speaking and writing German and English language skills
