As head of Business Analysis you will be leading the Business Analysis team who helps EDGE to define its vision, mission, strategy, targets and reports against the strategy set. The scope of the Business Analysis team includes both the business strategy as sustainability strategy. Reporting is done towards investors at holding level and via ESG reporting to the wider public.

The team consisting of 3fte assists the Business Units of EDGE in defining and drafting their strategy and target setting. The team works closely  together with finance to draft multi year financial forecasts, company valuation models and the coordination of the future audits of the ESG reports.


As Head of Business Analysis you will help counterparts and shareholder(s) acquire insight in our corporate strategy, business plans, financial forecasts, budgets, quarterly reports and monthly cash flow forecasts. Furthermore, ad-hoc analysis will need be to executed based on their inputs.

You will also be responsible for:

Business planning and target setting

  • Coordinate the annual business plan process, draft the EDGE strategic plan and ensure each BU has defined its own plan;
  • Ensure targets are set for EDGE and its BU’s and ensure proper follow up throughout the year;
  • As part of the group strategy, ensure that ESG strategy is clearly defined and is integrated in the BU strategy and target setting;
  • Ensure investor sign-off on the annual business plan and budgets and ensure the plan covers enough detail to allow EDGE to operate without unneeded investor approvals throughout the year;
  • Ensure compliance throughout the year vis-à-vis the approved plan. Ensure sign-off by relevant parties . e.g. for material deviations for approved budgets or business plan;
  • Support Sustainability Manager / Head of ESG in further developing our carbon neutral strategy;
  • Once carbon neutral strategy has been implemented, develop further ESG strategy, focusing on Social and Governance, both on company and project level.


Investor reporting

  • Agree on the quarterly reporting formats / templates with investors. Agree on the KPI’s that require follow-up.
  • Ensure quarterly reporting is executed at the highest standards and in close cooperation with the finance, development and commercial teams
  • Build-up proper financial and operational track record data
  • Be first point of contact for Q&A from investor(s)
  • Create ad-hoc analysis for investor(s)
  • Run quarterly valuation models of EDGE


Sustainability reporting

  • Work closely together with the ESG team, the Branding team and Innovation team to ensure strong and consistent communication, PR and strategy setting around ESG and our carbon neutral pledge
  • Responsible for setting up annual impact / ESG reporting, which will include our reporting on carbon neutrality
  • Collect and collate company level carbon emissions and other ESG data
  • Collect and collate ESG related project data, work with project teams to ensure efficient data collection
  • Setup and coordinate the audit of the ESG report


Managerial responsibility

  • Diary guidance
  • Target settings and review
  • Cost center responsibility of the Business Analysis team
  • Holiday planning and approval


Skills required /qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience, of which at least five years at a strategy consulting firm
  • Master degree in Business Administration, Economics, Controlling or similar;
  • Proven track record in high end business analytics in a corporate environment; preferably in the real estate industry
  • Shown interest and expertise in sustainability, health and wellbeing in the built environment;
  • Self-reliant, team player, innovator, analytical, results oriented, enthusiastic personality and high level of energy;
  • Able to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings;
  • Proficiency in the Dutch and English language in speaking and writing (German language skills are beneficial);
  • A resilience mindset, the ability to find creative solutions to problems and challenges.
